The Rotary Club of West El Paso has had an annual Holiday Basket of food and gifts for local area residents.

School Supplies

Every year, the Rotary Club of West El Paso provides supplies to students in local schools. Over the years, these supplies have included backpacks, school supplies, and shoes.

Rotary Youth Exchange

Rotary has always worked to better international understanding. One key program to this end is the Rotary Youth Exchange program, which facilitates a one school year experience for a high school student in another country. The Rotary Club of West El Paso has been participating in this for over 30 years by hosting a student every year giving them housing and guidance while they attend a local high school. In exchange, we also send one or more students to experience the life and culture of another country in another country.

RYLA Camps

RYLA is Rotary’s leadership training program for young people. RYLA participants can be ages 14-30, however our district and clubs choose to focus on Juniors in high school. RYLA Camp emphasizes leadership, citizenship, and personal growth. It aims to demonstrate Rotary’s respect and concern for youth; provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders; encourage leadership of youth by youth, and recognize publicly young people who are rendering service to their communities. The Rotary Club of West El Paso participates in the District RYLA camp, held at Manzano Moutain Retreat, every July. We have sponsored many future leaders, and provided numerous camp counselors from our membership. Rotary Friendship Exchange

The Rotary Club of West El Paso actively participates in the Rotary Friendship Exhange program coordinated by Rotary District 5520. Every year, club members host Rotarians from other districts, often other countries, and very often send representatives to other countries. First Tee Desert Classic

The Rotary Club of West El Paso holds a joint fundraiser with the First Tee of Greater El Paso. Proceeds of this fundraiser go to support the projets of the Rotary Club of West EL Paso Foundation and the youth development programs of the First Tee of El Paso.

Bridges to Prosperity
