Officers of the Rotary Club of West El Paso

Each officer serves a one year term. The President conducts all club meetings. During his absence meetings will be held by the Vice-President. The office of President, President-Elect and Vice President can only be filled by a club member in good standing who has previously completed a full term either as secretary, treasurer or a director of the Rotary Club of West El Paso.

About Officers: 2017-2018 Term

President: It shall be the duty of the president to preside at meetings of the club and board and to perform such other duties as ordinarily pertain to the office of president.

President-Elect: It shall be the duty of the president elect to attend P.E.T. S. during the year immediately prior to becoming president; to serve as a member of the board of the club and to perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the president or the board.

Vice-President: It shall be the duty of the vice-president to attend P.E.T.S. during the year immediately after his election, to preside at meetings of the club and the board in the absence of the president, to have overall responsibility for programs, and to perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the president or the board. Should circumstances require that the president holding office to step down, the vice-president shall assume the office of the president.

Treasurer: It shall be the duty of the treasurer to have custody of all funds, accounting for same to the club annually as defined in Article X, Section 2, of these by laws, and at any other time upon demand by the board and to perform such other duties as pertain to the office of treasurer.

Secretary: It shall be the duty of the secretary to keep the records of membership; record the attendance at meetings; send out notices of meetings of the club and board; record and preserve the minutes of such meetings; make the required reports to RI, including the semiannual reports of membership which shall be made to the general secretary of RI on January 1st and July 1st of each year, and the prorated reports on 1 October and 1 April of each year of each active, senior active and past service member who has been elected to membership in the club since the start of the July or the January semiannual reporting period, and its respective changes; make the monthly report of attendance at the club meetings, immediately following the last meeting of the month, to the district governor; collect and remit to RI subscriptions to THE ROTARIAN, and perform such other duties as usually pertain to the office of secretary.

Sargeant-at-Arms: The duties of the sergeant at arms shall be such as are usually prescribed for such office and such other duties as may be prescribed by the president or the board.

Immediate Past President: It shall be the duty of the immediate past president to serve as a resource to the president and to perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the President or the Board.
